Ovarian Cysts
An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on an ovary. They are quite common and typically do not cause any symptoms. Most ovarian cysts go away on their own once a woman gets her period. Surgical treatment may be necessary for some, depending on factors like size, symptoms, cause, and menopausal status. For the majority of cysts, watchful waiting is the recommended approach.
